ABOUT: Food Share SC’s Monthly Fresh Food Box makes it easier to access healthy fruits and vegetables at an affordable price. With a delicious variety of produce in each box and healthy recipes to help you learn to cook tasty and nutritious meals, our goal is to empower you to improve your health, one meal at a time.

HOW PARTICIPATE: Contact the Community Center directly to be added to the list. Participation each month is optional. You will be contacted one week prior to each distribution to confirm your interest in that month’s box.

CHESTER COUNTY FOOD DISTRIBUTION

COST: Free for those within provided income guidelines

TIMING: Monthly distribution (Saturdays 9:30-11:00am – see Facebook Page for exact dates each month)

Household size 1 – $30,120/yr or $2,510/mo
Household size 2 – $40,880/yr or $3,407/mo
Household size 3 – $51,640/yr or $4,303/mo
Household size 4 – $62,400/yr or $5,200/mo
Household size 5 – $73,160/yr or $6,097/mo

HOW PARTICIPATE: Food bags are first come, first served. Photo ID required, Chester County residents only.

FOOD PANTRY

COST: Free for those in need

TIMING: Open Monday-Friday 9am-4pm, limited to one visit per month

ABOUT: Donated pantry items available to those in need throughout the year, subject to availability.

HOW PARTICIPATE: Visit the FLCC during open hours; photo ID required, Chester County residents only.

COMMODITY SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM (CSFP) SENIOR BOXES

COST: Free for those 60+ with income restrictions

TIMING: Monthly distribution (3rd Tuesday 10:00am-noon)

ABOUT: The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of persons with low-income, at least 60 years of age, by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods. USDA distributes both food and administrative funds to participating states and Indian Tribal Organizations to operate CSFP.
